  • Why is Everyday Loans entering a Scheme of Arrangement?

Everyday Lending Limited, a company within the Non-Standard Finance group, runs Everyday Loans, George Banco and TrustTwo, and is responsible for paying any valid claims from customers in relation to loans provided by those brands. Everyday Lending Limited does not have enough money to pay this compensation in full and is therefore proposing to use a legal process called a “scheme of arrangement” to settle any eligible compensation claims.

  • What is the current status of the Everyday Loans Scheme of Arrangement?

At present Everyday Lending Limited is in the process of communicating directly to customers (both borrowers and guarantors) who may be eligible to submit a claim under the scheme.

  • Why is Morses Club entering a Scheme of Arrangement?

On 13th December 2022, Morses Club PLC communicated its plans to enter a Scheme of Arrangement (“Scheme”) with its Scheme creditors. Morses Club does not have enough money to pay compensation claims in full and is therefore proposing to use a legal process called a “scheme of arrangement” to settle any eligible compensation claims.

If the Scheme is voted for and approved, customers who received a loan between the 1st April 2007 and 2nd August 2022, may be entitled to compensation based on a claim that the loan was unaffordable at the time it was given.

  • What is the current status of the Morses Club Scheme of Arrangement?

The Court has now given Morses Club permission to hold a virtual meeting for all Morses Club’s creditors/customers who are affected by the Scheme. This gives creditors/customers the opportunity to consider the Scheme proposal and vote on the Scheme (the Scheme Meeting). The deadline for the vote is: 5pm on 12th May 2023.

Morses Club has attempted to contact all its existing and previous customers. You may have received a letter, e-mail or text message about the Scheme which includes an important Scheme Reference Number (SRN) needed for the proposed Scheme. If you have not received a letter, e-mail or text message confirming your SRN, please Morses Club immediately.

  • How do I know if I have a claim?

You may have a valid claim if you believe you were given a loan and couldn’t afford to make the repayments at the time it was given.

  • When will I find out if I am owed any compensation?

We will register your claim if the Creditors vote to approve the Scheme. We will inform you when we have registered your claim. Notification on when claims will be assessed will be updated once the Scheme is closed.

  • When will I get any compensation paid to me?

Notification on when payments on successful claims will be made will be updated once all claims have been assessed via the Scheme.
